Farmers Market

My husband and I went to our local Farmers Market the other day. I wanted to post this just as a reminder to people that local produce is available and to encourage people to utilize it.  Not only are you getting great produce but you are helping your local economy.

Here is the website for all the local producers in TN.

You can look up anything from fruits and vegetable to organics and wheat.

  1. How was it? Was there much organic? We went to the Franklin one today. It was a fun outing but not worth the drive for what was available. We'll try the Mboro next time.

  2. We went this past Saturday. There were a ton of veggies, and I saw atleast one organic stand. We only bought peaches and they were terrible. They were so ripe they were close to rotting on the inside. We had to throw them all away the next day. So I am going to stay clear of the peaches but most of the veggies looked really good!

  3. Thanks for the heads up on the peaches. If you are a peach lover you should make a trip to Forges Peach Farm. It would be a 45 minute to an hour drive from Murfreesboro but I think it is worth it. We go every year and they have the best peaches. I have never seen such large peaches either. You can pick them or they will. I think they have cherries too.
